    In this camp students will learn basic wheel throwing skills. Each student will create a variety of hand-thrown pots complete with a glazed finish. Beginners are welcome! Bring a towel and dress for mess.

    For ages 15+

    Embellish your summer garden with decorative garden fairy houses! We will be working with slabs of clay and constructing the houses with the score and slip method. No previous clay experience is necessary.

    Join us this summer as our friends Sparky, Skip the Drip and the puppet crew explore the world around us, our role in keeping it clean and more! Each week will feature silly antics from the puppets and hands-on activities for the audience. Bring your blanket or lawn chairs, relax and enjoy the shows.

  3. Kids Fishing Class

    June 15, 2021, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ Antlers Park


    Ages 8+

    This fishing class for kids is taught by pro angler and television show host Mike Frisch. Participants learn about lakes, finding fish in those lakes and great ways to catch them. They also learn to tie a fishing knot and rig and use a slip-bobber setup. Each participant will receive a rod and reel, tackle box t-shirt, School of Fish workbook, and more. Parents may accompany their child at no additional charge! One youth graduate is drawn from all School of Fish graduates to be a guest on Fishing in the Midwest TV! Most importantly, graduates leave class with the knowledge, skills and equipment to go fishing!

  4. Nature Detectives

    June 15, 2021, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Ritter Farm Park


    Ages 6-12

    Put your sleuthing skills to the test on an “investigative” hike led by Lakeville Environmental Resources staff as we discover the cool things the park has to offer. We’ll look for wildlife and their tracks, “fish” for critters in the water by dip-netting and search for bugs in the prairie. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes! Pack extra boots, or water shoes, for the water if you don’t want your shoes wet.

    Karate promotes self-discipline, body awareness and improves self-confidence in all ages and abilities. Have fun, build strength and improve self-control.
