    Beginning/Intermediate level

    Demonstrations will cover hand-building and basic wheel-throwing techniques for beginners, as well as more advanced concepts for intermediate students. Students work at their own pace with both individualized and group instruction. Bring an old towel.

  1. Driver Safety Refresher Course

    The Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center conducts driver safety classes at the Heritage Center. Drivers 55+ may be eligible for a 10% discount on their auto insurance. An 8-hour course is initially required, followed by a 4-hour refresher class every three years.

    Get moving with this discovery-based program. Enjoy physical challenges and organized exploration activities that increase major motor development. Explore and learn five sports with your child: football, volleyball, soccer, basketball and track and field. Each 45-minute class encompasses a developmental sport, muscle identification and nutrition lessons, using fun activities that highlight motor-development skill building.

    For newborn-6 years
    Infant under 8 months on the first day of the session are free with a registered sibling. Free infant must be born after May 4, 2019. All infants, whether siblings or not, are welcome.

    Sing, dance, play, learn! Award-winning music and movement classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers—and the grownups who love them. Experience delightful ways to interact musically with your child, all designed to support his or her overall development. The rich music environment in class, full of opportunities for experimentation and play, will help your child grow into a confident, lifelong music maker while supporting her cognitive, social, emotional, physical and verbal development at the same time. Classes are 45 minutes of pure fun each week and are mixed-age so siblings can attend together. Receive a CD, a code to download the music, an illustrated songbook and parent education materials.

    Get active while learning new sports and skills! Develop your child’s motor skills, hand-eye coordination, cardiovascular fitness and more through Amazing Athletes. In this course we will cover 10 sports: baseball, volleyball, lacrosse, football, basketball, soccer, golf, hockey, tennis and track & field. Each 45-minute class encompasses two different developmental sports, muscle identification and nutrition lessons, using fun activities so they can build their skills, at their own pace, in a non-competitive atmosphere.
