EcoElsa Plant Uses Camp

Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Ages 7-12

Join naturalist EcoElsa to learn the ways people have used plants throughout history. This class is a combination of biology, science, and history with an emphasis on how to respectfully learn about and from different cultures. We will be covering indigenous nations and Europeans while touching on other groups. Kids learn how these cultures have used plants for food, medicine, building materials and cultural activities throughout history.

Elsa is an Environmental Educator who loves to connect people with the outdoors. The mission of EcoElsa is to instill a passion for the outdoors in people by getting them outdoors to learn and have fun, creating resources to help people teach outdoors and to make the outdoors more accessible for all. If you want to learn more or see examples of her work check out her YouTube videos or her website at EcoElsa.com.
