"Footloose" at Chanhassen Dinner Theater

Enjoy a matinee performance of the “Footloose”. “Footloose” was released as a movie in 1984 and proved to be one of the year’s most successful motion pictures. The story revolves around Ren, a teenager who moves with his mother from Chicago to a small farming town. The show includes the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top Forty score, augmented with dynamic new songs. Before the performance, enjoy a lunch you will select from a limited menu. Menu includes entrée, salad, vegetable, bread, potato or rice and beverage.  Chanhassen Theater requirements: Physical vaccination card or photo of the card on a mobile device or proof of a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of attendance is required. Masks are required for all guests regardless of vaccination status or age. Masks are required to be worn at all times while at the Chanhassen Theater unless eating or drinking. $100 members/$110 non-members. Leave the Heritage Center at 10:30 a.m. and return at 4:45 p.m. Sign up with payment by Tuesday, January 4

Uff Dah! A Scandinavian History Tour

Discover how and why immigrants from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland come as pioneers to the Twin Cities. We will have a costumed character guide narrating a riding tour pointing out sites such as the Mindekirken Church, Norway House and statue of Leif Erickson. Lunch will be served at the American Swedish Institute (meatballs, gravlax, potatoes, rye bread, salad, dessert and beverage. After lunch visit the Bokhandel Gift Show before taking a guided tour of the Turnblad Mansion  - a 33 room mansion, and the American Swedish Institute where you will learn about Swedish, Swedish-American, and Nordic culture. $93/members, $103 non-members. Leave the Heritage Center at 9:30 am and return at 3:45 pm.  Sign up with payment by Monday, February 7.
