Lakeville is home to many lakes, wetlands, streams, prairies and woodlands. Environmental Resources staff help to manage, promote and protect these important natural features.
Environmental Resources staff and projects are primarily funded through the Environmental Resources Utility Fund. This quarterly fee is collected through water bills and funds water quality improvement projects, inspections, maintenance of the stormwater system, monitoring, and education and outreach. In addition, partnerships with various local and state conservation entities result in grant funding to aid in project implementation.
